A great, big Broadway season is on its way, with fourteen productions already slated to open in the next few months. With several weeks until the craziness begins, there is still plenty of time to catch up on what's been going on at Broadway's already occupied theaters . SuEllen Estey (Sweeney Todd, State Fair, Barnum) leads the upcoming reading of Mother Jones and the Children's Crusade with book, music, and lyrics by Cheryl E. Kemeny of Crystal Theatre. The cast will also feature two time Tony nominee Robin de Jesus (In the Heights, La Cage aux Folles, Domesticated, Rent), N'Kenge (Motown, Sondheim on Sondheim), Sadie Sink (Annie), Marissa Miller (Wicked), Julie Benko (Spring Awakening, Les Miserables), Ava Demary (Matilda), Peter Davenport (The Sound of Music), and Kaye Tuckerman (Mamma Mia).

As Tony Awards host Neil Patrick Harris sang in the opening number of the 2013 ceremony: 'They're the reason that this season seems to look like Chucky Cheese!' MATILDA THE MUSICAL, produced by The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers, is currently in previews at Broadway's Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). The show has just announced its rush policy effective immediately: $27 student rush tickets for MATILDA THE MUSICAL will be available for Monday through Thursday performances (excluding Thursday, March 28 and Thursday, April 11, 2013). There will be a minimum of 20 tickets available per performance.

According to the Telegraph, the West End hit musical version of Roald Dahl's Matilda is undergoing some last-minute changes before it opens on Broadway in April. After several previews, some of the lyrics are being revised for American audiences.
