Full casting has been announced for the touring production of the new musical COME FROM AWAY, coming to the SHN Golden Gate Theatre from January 8 to February 3, 2019 as part of the 2018-2019 SHN Season.

Full casting has been announced for the touring production of the new musical Come From Away. The 5th Avenue Theatre kicks off its 2018-19 season with the launch of Come From Away's North American tour, playing October 9 - November 4, 2018. MenAlive, the Orange County Gay Men's Chorus, under the direction of Artistic Director Bob Gunn, proudly announces the final cast selection of their upcoming Orange County Premiere production of Andrew Lippa's groundbreaking oratorio I AM HARVEY MILK, which will be featured in the chorus' 17th season finale concert HEROES, with an OPENING NIGHT performance set for Friday, July 20, 2018 at 8pm, and TWO additional concerts set for Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 3pm and 8pm.

The made-in-Canada international phenomenon that is COME FROM AWAY has recouped its full capitalization in Toronto in only 14 weeks, a relatively short period of time for a production of its size and calibre. This signals not only the popularity of COME FROM AWAY but also the strength of the theatre market in Toronto.

According to Baz Bamigboye of The Daily Mail, the Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away will bring Gander to London in 2019, when the show opens up shop at the Phoenix Theatre with an all-British cast. 

COME FROM AWAY celebrated its 100th performance in Toronto today. Creators Irene Sankoff and David Hein were on hand to present the cast with a cake commemorating the milestone.

Come From Away has announced another extension to its run in Toronto! Twelve more weeks of performances will be added, from October 23, 2018 through January 20, 2019. This new block of tickets will go on sale Monday May 7, 2018.

Originating from the 2013 collaborative album by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell titled Love Has Come for You, Bright Star tells a sweeping tale of love and redemption set against the rich backdrop in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina in the 1920s and '40s. The musical was inspired by the true story of a five-day-old baby who fell approximately 50 feet from a train into Big River in Irondale, Missouri on August 14th, 1902.

In a brief engagement at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester, Mass. (which ended this Sunday), the national tour of Steve Martin and Edie Brickell's southern musical BRIGHT STAR flickers between down-home country charm and maudlin storytelling. Strong performances and a kickin' on-stage bluegrass band, though, manage to knock off the tarnish of this tepid tale of hope and redemption to deliver an uplifting message in the end.

Texas Christian University's School of Music is proud to present the world premiere of a new opera, The Falling and the Rising, by contemporary artistic duo Zach Redler, composer, and Jerre Dye, librettist. The Actors Fund announced today that Come From Away has added a Special Benefit Performance for The Actors Fund. This benefit performance will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 7:30 pm at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street).
