Bay Street Theater Announces 26th Annual Summer Gala

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts announces the 26th Annual Summer Gala, to take place in Sag Harbor on the Long Wharf on July 15, 2017 benefiting Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. The evening will include special performances as well as a silent auction, cocktail party, live 'Fantasy Auction,' dinner and dancing.

Brian Lowdermilk and Lauren Gunderson present Children's Concert at 54 Below

The Amazing Adventures of Dr Wonderful and Her Dog! a new children's piece featuring a book and lyrics by Lauren Gunderson and pop-show tune score by Brian Lowdermilk will have its New York debut at 54 Below on Saturday, June 24. The hour-long concert event celebrating the launch of the brand new book based on the musical will feature original cast members and Broadway singer, author of 'Dot.' and creator of Dot. on Sprout TV, Randi Zuckerberg.

BWW Review: World Premiere of THE FORGOTTEN WOMAN at Bay Street

It is always thrilling to say "I saw it first" and that opportunity arrives with the world premiere of Jonathan Tolins' (Buyer and Cellar, et. al.) hilarious yet heart-tugging new play The Forgotten Woman. Now running through June 19th at the Bay Street Theatre, this kicks off a dazzling 25th Anniversary season for the gorgeous Sag Harbor venue. The production boasts an absolutely stellar cast and the tale will have you on a roller coaster of emotions.

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce the arrival of the Hamptons' newest diva, with the world premiere of THE FORGOTTEN WOMAN, a new play by Jonathan Tolins, directed by Noah Himmelstein. The production starts tomorrow, May 31, and runs through June 19. There is a 'Pay What You Can' performance on May 31 with a limited amount of tickets available at the Box Office starting at 11 am that are based on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thomas Bradshaw, Erika Sheffer & Wallace Shawn Set for The New Group's THE SENSUALITY PARTY Talkbacks

The New Group has announced additional guests for post-show talkbacks at The Sensuality Party, with playwrights Thomas Bradshaw (Burning, Intimacy) and Erika Sheffer (Russian Transport) joining in the conversation at Brooklyn College following the 7:00pm performances on May 2 and May 3, respectively, and Wallace Shawn (Aunt Dan and Lemon, The Fever, Marie and Bruce) joining at LaGuardia Community College following the 2:30pm performance on May 11.

The New Group's THE SENSUALITY PARTY Begins Performances Tonight

Performances begin tonight for The Sensuality Party, a new play by Justin Kuritzkes, presented by The New Group as part of the company's 2015-2016 season. This New York premiere, directed by Danya Taymor, features Catherine Combs, Jeff Cuttler, Katherine Folk-Sullivan, Jake Horowitz, Layla Khoshnoudi and Rowan Vickers.

Bebe Neuwirth, James Monroe Iglehart & More Set for 2016 24 Hour Musicals

On May 2nd, The 24 Hour Company® is teaming with The Exchange, an off-Broadway theater company, to create the eighth annual The 24 Hour Musicals to be held at the Highline Ballroom. A team of more than 100 - including stars from Broadway, film, television, and music - will cast, write, compose, direct, rehearse, tech, and perform four original musicals - all in the obscenely short time between an evening meet-and-greet on Sunday, May 1st and show time on Monday, May 2 at 8pm. The event benefits the Exchange's summer program, The Orchard Project, which incubates and accelerates innovative new theatrical work from around the world.

The New Group to Bring Kuritzkes' THE SENSUALITY PARTY to NYC College Campuses

The New Group proudly presents The Sensuality Party as part of its 2015-2016 season. This New York premiere of a new play by Justin Kuritzkes was developed through The New Group's New Group/New Works play development program. Directed by Danya Taymor, this production will play 18 performances only at college campuses across all five boroughs of New York City, with venues including Brooklyn College, LaGuardia Community College, Gallatin School (New York University), Baruch College, Lehman College, Pace University NYC Campus, Pace University Westchester Campus and the College of Staten Island. The New Group to Honor Ed Harris, Amy Madigan & Ellen Roth at Annual Gala

Off-Broadway's The New Group will honor Ed Harris & Amy Madigan and Ellen Roth at the company's Annual Gala on Monday, March 7 at Tribeca Rooftop (2 Desbrosses Street between Hudson & Greenwich). Hosted by Mario Cantone, the event will feature performances by Jerry Dixon and Nat and Alex Wolff, and an appearance by playwright Beth Henley, author of Crimes of the Heart and The Jacksonian. Music Director is Sinai Tabak. The evening, 6:00-10:00pm, includes cocktails, dinner, and silent and live auctions.

Photo Coverage: The New Group Celebrates Opening Night of BURIED CHILD

Due to demand, The New Group has announced a second extension for Sam Shepard's Buried Child, now playing through April 3. Originally set to play through March 13, an extension through Sunday, March 27 was recently announced for this limited Off-Broadway engagement. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris,Amy Madigan, Larry Pine, Rich Sommer, Paul Sparks and Nat Wolff. The show just opened last night at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street) and BroadwayWorld was there. Check out photos below!
