Purchase College, State University of New York’s Broadway Technical Theatre History Project, will present the Tenth Broadway technical “Backstage Legends and Masters Award” to Bill Gorlin on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 7 p.m.

McLaren Engineering Group has announced that William Gorlin PE, SE Vice President of Entertainment Engineering, will receive the prestigious Tenth Annual 'Backstage Legends and Masters' Award from the Broadway Technical Theatre History Project.

(Bill) Mensching on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 7 p.m. at The Performing Arts Center on campus, located at 735 Anderson Hill Road in Purchase, NY.

Beloved Broadway production supervisor Arthur P. Siccardi has passed away at 89. Arthur P., II was one of the best-loved figures in the American theater, with a distinguished career as a production supervisor that spanned five decades working with the biggest stars, directors and producers on some of the best-known shows in Broadway history.

(Bill) Mensching on Monday, April 20, 2020 at 7 p.m. at The Performing Arts Center on campus, located at 735 Anderson Hill Road in Purchase, NY. This free event will be recorded and archived for future viewing.

Purchase College, SUNY's Broadway Technical Theatre History Project, will present the Seventh Annual 'Backstage Legends and Masters Award' to esteemed Production Wardrobe Supervisor, Alyce Gilbert on April 23 at 7 p.m.  The free event will take place in the Performing Arts Center on the College's campus at 735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY.

Yesterday evening, June 9th, Music Theatre International Chairman and CEO Freddie Gershon was among the recipients of a 2012 Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre at the 2012 Tony Eve Cocktail Party at the InterContinental Hotel. The Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre were established in 1990 and are awarded annually to institutions, individuals and/or organizations that have demonstrated extraordinary achievement in theatre, but are not eligible in any of the established Tony Award categories.

Tonight may be the big night but last evening, June 9, The Tony Awards Administration Committee hosted the annual Tony Eve Cocktail Party Tony at the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts to celebrate this year's Special Tony Award winners. The Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre were established in 1990 and are awarded annually to institutions, individuals and/or organizations that have demonstrated extraordinary achievement in theatre, but are not eligible in any of the established Tony Award categories. This year's Tony Honors were presented to: Freddie Gershon, CEO and Chairman of Musica Theatre International, Artie Siccardi, Production Supervisor of Arthur Siccardi Theatrical Services, Inc. who has overseen more than 200 Broadway productions, and TDF Open Doors, Theatre Development Fund's arts education program.
