The Cosentinos are nearly ready to cut open a giant cannoli and reveal their new baby's sex to the world. You're invited into their backyard for WAITING FOR GANOL, a uniquely Philly, uniquely funny new comedy. In a site-specific staging at the Maas Building (1320 N. 5th Street, Philadelphia), audiences will become a part of a South Philly family's dramatic gender reveal for three performances only: September 7, 20, and 24. 

Furnace Festival Presents Four Incendiary New Plays

he Center at West Park will present four workshops of new plays at the Furnace Festival this August. The Furnace Festival is a workshop for developing 'hot new plays, fresh from the oven.' These plays, which include Little Lives by Shara Feit, [Un]Earthed by Lavinia Roberts, Tokophobia by Jenny Bokoch Gillett, and And the Trees Fall Down by Viviana Prado-Nuñez, ask questions like 'What does it mean to create life?' and 'How do we prepare when the storm comes?'

Animus Theatre Company Announces Schedule and Final Casting For Beth Henley 12-Hour Reading Festival

Animus Theatre Company (Jonathan Judge-Russo, Founding Artistic Director) in association with the Circle in the Square Professional Workshop, has announced the schedule and casting for its annual 12-Hour Reading Festival, which returns to Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre this Thursday, July 19, beginning at 11:00am. This year's festival, which will showcase the repertoire of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Beth Henley (Crimes of the Heart), will feature company artists will include Haley Bond, Sara Canter, Jonathan Judge-Russo (A Rainy Day in New York, "Law & Order: SVU"), Trevor Kluckman, Alan Langdon, Brad Lemons, Amy Northup, Courtney Shaw and Karen Sours Albisua ("The Chi," "The Bridge").

Emerging Artists Theatre celebrates its 25th Anniversary by presenting their 20th Annual New Work Series (NWS). Under the direction of Artistic Director, Paul Adam's, the festival runs February 26 through March 18 at TADA Theatre in Chelsea.
