The Theater at the 14th Street Y continues to honor the edgy, diverse, and rich history of innovative culture-making in the East Village with the 201 9-20 Season from September 6, 2019 through June 2020. All productions are chosen through a submission process and the curated season is co-presented by the Theater at the 14th Street Y. From a wide range of artists the season is a deliberate program of artistic discourse around the theme of Life and Death.

On Thursday, March 14, 2019, the 14th Street Y hosted its 2019 PURIM Gala at Cipriani 25 Broadway, NYC, raising more than ever before-over $375,000 and counting. In 2016, Delaware Theatre Company brought the musical adaptation of the classic film DINER, written by Academy Award-winner Barry Levinson with music and lyrics by nine-time Grammy Award-winner Sheryl Crow, to the stage. Directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall, the musical was years in the making, having its initial regional premiere in DC's Signature Theatre in December 2014.

Bay Street Theater's THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO, the Tony Award-winning play by Alfred Uhry, directed by Will Pomerantz, opened this past week. Bay Street Theater has also announced a special talkback on Tuesday, July 19, with guest speaker -- Rabbi Sheldon Zimmerman of The Jewish Center of the Hamptons. Delaware Theatre Company serves up a musical adaptation of a classic film with the upcoming production of DINER, written by Academy Award-winner Barry Levinson with music and lyrics by nine-time Grammy Award-winner Sheryl Crow. Directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall, DINER earns a four week run at Delaware Theatre Company from December 2 and has already been extended through January 3, 2016. December 12, marked the official opening night.
Set in Baltimore during 1959, DINER follows a circle of childhood friends who confront the realities of adulthood in the one place they know they will always be welcome: the all-night diner.
