Multiple award-wining classical theater ensemble The Antaeus Company has announced three fully partner-cast productions for 2015: Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part I; Picnic by William Inge; and Anton Chekhov's beloved Uncle Vanya.

New Brooklyn Theater announces the cast and guest speakers for its site-specific production of a new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard in Istanbul, Turkey. The show, performed in Turkish at the endangered Yedikule Gardens, addresses the ongoing issue of sacrificing cultural history and for the sake of development. Performances begin tonight, August 13, 2014 and run through Saturday, August 30, 2014. Jonathan Solari, Artistic Director of New Brooklyn Theater, directs the production, which is designed by Courtney Nelson.

Loading Dock Theatre presents The Twelfth Labor, a world premiere epic family drama by Leegrid Stevens. Matt Torney directs a cast of eleven, including Cynthia Babak*, Amy Bizjak*, Jed Dickson*, Jonathan Draxton, Dennis Gagomiros*, Shelby Hightower, Michael Huston*, Tanis LePore, Lynne McCollough*, Erin Treadway, and Brian White. Performances will be staged at The Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, New York, NY 10012 from September 19-October 11, 2014.

Black Swan State Theatre Company will present one of the modern era's greatest plays, Anton Chekhov's The Seagull (in a new adaptation by Hilary Bell, by arrangement with the State Theatre Company of South Australia). Playing at Heath Ledger Theatre in the State Theatre Centre of WA from today 9 to Sunday 31 August.

The Old Globe today announced additional performances for the third production of the 2014 Summer Season, Ronald Harwood's comedy Quartet, directed by Richard Seer (Other Desert Cities, God of Carnage, The Last Romance). Harwood received an Academy Award for his screenplay of The Pianist and was nominated for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and The Dresser (also a hit on Broadway and the West End). By popular demand, it will now play through Sunday, August 31. Tickets for the extension will go on sale to the general public on Sunday, August 10 at 12:01 a.m.

DifFRactions Theatre and Theater for The New City present, as part of the Dream Up Festival, the American Premiere of IN THE RING, written by Leonore Confino (a 2014 Moliere Award Best Playwright nominee for the play). Directed by Alexandre Oppecini, this production will mark the World Premiere of the English translation by Perrine Moran. Three Day Hangover is thrilled to be bringing boozy Chekhov to New York City with Drunkle Vanya, adapted by Lori Wolter Hudson from Anton Chekhov's classic Uncle Vanya. WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced its production of Full Gallop, produced by WaterTower Theatre, August 9-31, 2014. The WaterTower Theatre production of Full Gallop will be directed by Terry Martin and stars Diana Sheehan as Diana Vreeland. The production opens Monday, August 11.

William Shakespeare's famed star-crossed lovers bare their passion Uptown this summer as The Classical Theatre of Harlem (Ty Jones, producing artistic director; David Roberts, managing director) presents Romeo n Juliet at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park. Justin Emeka, who edited and adapted the tragedy to bring the colorful characters of Harlem to life, returns for the second year in a row as director.
