After a sold-out and acclaimed run of Uncle Vanya, The Russian Arts Theater & Studio's comedic production The Bear & Other Jokes by Anton Chekhov takes the stage. Staged by award-winning Russian director Aleksey Burago, this production will take place at the West End Theater at Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew.

An encounter between a self-dramatizing widow, a timid butler and a barbaric debt collector quickly turns into a comic battle of wit, money, pistols and love. Featuring live original music, beloved classical repertoire, as well as popular Russian romances, this show also includes three of Anton Chekhov's lesser known short stories. This summer, you are invited to join The Russian Arts Theater & Studio at the beautiful West End Theatre and experience their signature Chekhov!

The design team includes Lighting Design by Sarah Lang and Original Music by Di Zhu. The cast includes James Fordyce, Danijela Popovic, Paulo Quiros, and Di Zhu.

The West End Theatre at Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew is located at 263 W 86th St (Off Broadway), New York, NY 10024 (Patrons can take the uptown 1 train to 86th Street).
