Galerie XII Los Angeles (www.galeriexii.com) is celebrating its first anniversary with the solo exhibition of world-renowned, Milan-based photographer Paolo Ventura. The exhibition of Ventura's magical photographic works, 'An Invented World' spans six series over the last decade and will provide the most comprehensive overview of the celebrated Italian artist's oeuvre on the West Coast to date, including the debut of new works.The exhibition runs from January 18 to March 14, 2020 with a public opening reception with the artist on Saturday, January 18 from 4 - 7 pm. A partnership with Broadway & Beyond Theatricals creates a steady pipeline of digital Broadway content to be shared into theaters across the country that may never have the opportunity to provide productions of this size and magnitude with this level of starpower, and to present their audiences with productions that were not or are no longer available as a national tour.
Passim has awarded $41,000 to 23 musicians through its Iguana Music Fund. The Iguana Music Fund awards gifts annually to musicians for career building projects and for projects that provide community service through music. Established in 2008 after an anonymous donor approached Passim with the idea to start a program to support local artists' career growth, the fund provides grants from $500 to $2,000 for musicians with a strong New England connection.
