On Sunday, August 26th, Theatre, Film and TV stars for Broadway Blue Wave For New York, a musical political concert of songs and speeches, illuminating how vital the upcoming September 13th Primary is to resisting the current administration in the White House. The evening, directed by Tony nominee Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812), music directed by Drama Desk winner Mary-Mitchell Campbell (Mean Girls), and written by Harris Doran (Beauty Mark), will feature music and political insight to inspire New Yorkers to resist with the best tool they have: their VOTE.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announces casting and creative teams for the summer season of new musicals and plays selected for development at the National Music Theater Conference and National Playwrights Conference.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents the East Coast premiere of Half Time, a new musical, with book by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin, music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Nell Benjamin and additional music by Marvin Hamlisch and Ester Dean. Half Time began performances May 31, 2018 for a limited engagement through Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. Last night was the show's opening night. The 2019 National Tour of the Lincoln Center Theater Broadway Production of FALSETTOS, William Finn and James Lapine's groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical announces its complete touring schedule for the 2018-2019 season.

On Monday, June 18, 2018, the theater world and New York communities will come together for Broadway Sings for Pride's 8th annual charity concert entitled "Revolution"!  Hair co-creator James Rado (Grammy-Award Winner) and Hair original choreographer Julie Arenal (Broadway/West End) will join over 35 tribe members to celebrate Pride with a special Hair reunion musical performance during the event.

Conceived and developed by David De Silva of the original 'FAME' film and the subsequent musical, 'Talent Springs Eternal - Fame Forever' is a new musical that features the next generation of New York's famed High School of the Performing Arts in a developmental reading of a new musical starring Annie Golden (Orange Is the New Black), Justin Keyes (How To Succeed), and Q. Smith (Come From Away) with direction by Jeff Whiting (Bullets Over Broadway).

The Dennis & Victoria Foundation (DVRF) will present an industry reading of Ian August's The Excavation of Mary Anning as part of their 2018 Playwrights Program.  The reading stars Susannah Perkins (The Wolves, The Low Road) and Annie Golden (Violet, Hair, Orange is the New Black), and is directed by Sammi Cannold (Ragtime on Ellis Island).

PRIMARY STAGES presents the World Premiere of A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ, which opened last night at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St, New York, NY, 10014) on January 31, 2018. A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ will play a limited run through March 4, 2018.

According to the New York Post, a musical workshop of the cult-hit film, To Wong Foo...Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar! is headed into production in New York this week, directed by the film's author, Douglas Carter Beane.

A North American Tour is announced today for the Lincoln Center Theater Broadway Production of FALSETTOS, William Finn and James Lapine's groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. This production was nominated for five Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival when it returned to Broadway in Fall 2016, and this production will tour North America in the coming season.
