Sixth Annual Young Playwrights 10-Minute Play Contest Winners Announced

Palm Beach Dramaworks has announced the 10 winners of its sixth annual Young Playwrights 10-Minute Play Contest (YPC). The plays will receive a staged reading by professional actors in front of an audience at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre on Wednesday, April 26 at 7:00pm. Tickets are free, but reservations are required.  

Palm Beach Dramaworks to Host DOWNTOWN HOEDOWN 2023 Gala

​​​​​​​Dust off your cowboy boots, pull on your favorite pair of jeans, entertain visions of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, and high step it over to the West Palm Beach Marriott for a “Downtown Hoedown,” Palm Beach Dramaworks' first Gala since 2020. The Gala takes place on Saturday, March 18, beginning at 6:30pm. Penny Bank is the Chair.

TWELVE ANGRY MEN Opens At Palm Beach Dramaworks On December 9

The strengths and flaws of the American jury system are laid bare – as are the prejudices and social attitudes of those standing in judgment – in Reginald Rose's classic Twelve Angry Men, which opens at Palm Beach Dramaworks on December 9 (8pm). Performances continue through December 24, with specially priced previews on December 7 and 8 (7:30pm). J. Barry Lewis directs.  

Dates Added for PIPPIN 50th Anniversary Concert at 54 Below

54 BELOW will welcome the original Broadway cast of Pippin to celebrate the beloved musical’s 50th anniversary. Due to extreme popular demand, Pippin has added two performances on February 7 at 7pm & 9:30pm, in addition to its previously announced performances on February 6 at 7pm & 9:30pm, for a total of four shows.

The next broadcast of Rob Morrison's Musical Theatre Melodies will pay tribute to the 50th Anniversary of Steven Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson's Tony Award winning musical PIPPIN, featuring interviews with Tony Award winner John Rubenstein and songs from the original Broadway cast recording with special narration by Tony Award nominee Walter Willison.

Amy Herzog's 4000 MILES To Open Palm Beach Dramaworks 2022-23 Season

Palm Beach Dramaworks opens its 2022-23 season on October 14 (8pm) with Amy Herzog's warm and moving 4000 Miles, the 2012 Obie Award winner for Best New American Play. Performances continue through October 30, with specially priced previews on October 12 and 13 (7:30pm). J. Barry Lewis directs. 

Palm Beach Dramaworks Announces 2022-2023 Season

PBD’s twenty-third season will feature two Pulitzer Prize-winning plays, Topdog/Underdog by Suzan-Lori Parks and August: Osage County by Tracy Letts; a Pulitzer Prize-finalist, 4000 Miles by Amy Herzog; the world premiere of The Science of Leaving Omaha by Carter W. Lewis; and the classic Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose. Opening night is Friday, October 14.

Palm Beach Dramaworks Announces the Take A Breath Campaign

Palm Beach Dramaworks, which announced last week that it would resume live, onstage performances in October for the first time in 20 months, has launched a capital campaign, Take a Deep Breath, to help the company pay for new health and safety practices as recommended by the CDC.

Digital Programming Announced for Three Rivers Arts Festival, June 5-14

Now in its 61st year in 2020, the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, announces the festival will be presented for the first time in its history as an all-digital festival. This year's Festival grounds will take place on the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust website via TrustArts.org/TRAF.  Yes, the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, taking place June 5-14, 2020, is virtual, and the art is real!
