Red Bull Theater will present the first major Off-Broadway production of this fantastical tragicomedy, featuring a witch, a fool, a young man, his two wives, an angry mob, and one very devilish dog. In a new production of the Jacobean play by Thomas Dekker, John Ford and William Rowley, this rarely-performed classic rips open the dark underbelly of a small town with humor and pathos. Chicago Opera Theater (COT) General Director Brian Dickie has completed casting principal roles for COT's 2010 Spring Festival Season: Gioachino Rossini's Moses in Egypt (Mose in Egitto) starring Andrea Concetti; Francesco Cavalli's Jason (Giasone) starring Franco Fagioli; and Jake Heggie's Three Decembers starring Frederica von Stade in her final opera performances in Chicago before retirement.
