Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced today the plays and artists participating in the annual Fridays @ 3 Reading Series, beginning July 13 at the Paresky Center on the Williams Campus. Every week, WTF presents a reading of a new play featuring Festival performers, written and directed by some of the most exciting theatre artists working today.
Profiles Theatre Extends BACHELORETTE Through 5/27

Profiles Theatre announces an additional four weeks of performances of the Midwest premiere of Bachelorette by Leslye Headland, directed by Profiles Co-Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox. The full cast, Eric Burgher (A Behanding in Spokane, Kid Sister), Hillary Marren, Linda Augusta Orr, Rakisha Pollard, Amanda Powell and Adam Soule will continue with the production through the extension. The production will run through May 27, 2012, at Profiles Theatre, 4147 N. Broadway in Chicago.

ACT -A Contemporary Theatre rings in 2012 with new and continuing efforts that recognize achievements in outstanding playwriting and create the atmosphere for the development of new work. Playwright Angus MacLachlan (author of the highly acclaimed film Junebug) is named the 2012 ACT New Play Award winner for Abundant Acreage Available. Two FREE staged readings will be presented in ACT's Bullitt Cabaret February 25-26, 2012. Immediately following each reading are post-play discussions with the playwright and the director, Anita Montgomery.

SOUTHEASTERN is a comedy by Winston-Salem based playwright Angus MacLachlan. It concerns a young writer living in that North Carolina city, working to make a life for himself in the arts while dealing with the very real needs of two women, his sister and a young college professor who has recently moved to town and taken up residence squarely in his heart.
