Following a sellout success at Edinburgh Fringe in 2017, Long Lane Theatre Company are pleased to announce their UK Autumn tour of The Giant Killers, a true story of class, sport and the survival of the underdog. The re-cast and reimagined production kicks off on Friday 12th October, 7.30pm at The Heron Theatre, Cumbria and ends with a week long run at Upstairs at The Gatehouse London, Sunday 4th November.

A retitled production of John Dryden's 1675 play Aureng-zebe, The Captive Queen continues the Globe's winter season and acts as a swansong for Northern Broadsides' Barrie Rutter. The artistic director takes the role of the Emperor and also directs for the company for the final time. A rarely performed play, this project has been in the works for some time and is something of a labour of love for Rutter and his company.

Anita Dobson, Angela Griffin, Michael McKell, Andrew C Wadsworth and Honeysuckle Weeks will take part in the intimate readings in the idyllic PARK90 until 6th December. The season is presented by The New Actors Company in association with Park Theatre.

Angela Griffin completes the cast of Ben Ockrent's Breeders, a new play premiering on Wednesday 3 September 2014 at St. James Theatre. Griffin will play Caroline, who wants to start a family with her wife Andrea. In their quest to have a child that shares both of their DNA, Andrea seeks her brother Jimmy's help. Griffin will be joined by Tamzin Outhwaite as spouse Andrea, Nicholas Burns as Jimmy and Jemima Rooper as Jimmy's girlfriend, Sharon. Directed by Tamara Harvey, the play is inspired by Ockrent's real-life experience and offers a new perspective on how and why we make babies.
