The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and Joe's Pub at The Public join forces once again for the Kimmel Center Theater Residency. Under the tutelage of Jay Wahl, Producing Artistic Director of the Kimmel Center, and Shanta Thake, Director of Joe's Pub, the program serves as an incubator for artists and their collaborators to create and develop music and theater projects. The program will be held in the Kimmel Center's SEI Innovation Studio (300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA) from June 18-30 with Public Readings, free and open to the public, on June 29 and 30. Readings will be followed by Q&A sessions with the artists.

The Warehouse Theatre closes out its 44th Main Stage Season with the rock and roll musical satire, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, featuring members of the original Broadway production team.

Following a well-attended and critically-acclaimed inaugural year, Corkscrew Theater Festival returns for a second annual season, running July 9 - August 5 at the Paradise Factory (64 East 4th Street, Manhattan). This summer theater festival provides early-career artists with a high level of production support and features five world premieres and four readings performed in repertory over four weeks. Special attention has been given to theater makers who are developing work through robust and innovative collaborative models.

 Fresh Ground Pepper (FGP), a New York City based arts incubator in its 10th season of instigating and presenting new work, is proud to announce its first ever multi-week emerging arts festival at The New Ohio Theatre from April 10 through 21, 2018. Directed by Andrew Scoville, The Brobot Johnson Experience opens Saturday, February 24th. The show will play a limited engagement through March 17th.

Based (broadly) on the true adventures of the one-armed pioneering explorer John Wesley Powell and his intrepid crew, this gleefully subversive play capsizes the white male conquest narrative and discovers the beautifully fluid depth and courage of a wholly different landscape.

James and Jerome make hyper-literary live-music storytelling spectacles for the theater. With MUSEUM: Lecture, co-created with media designer Shawn Duan and co-directed by Tony-nominee Rachel Chavkin and Annie Tippe, they turn their attention to visual art, calligraphy, and illuminated manuscripts to create a love letter to the museum experience one that is at once an art lecture, a personal essay, a piece of theater, and a live electronic music composition, all meditated through with the audience. MUSEUM: Lecture is James and Jerome's answer to Susan Sontag's call for an erotics of art.

All For One Theater, the company that last produced My Name is Gideon, continues its legacy of producing acclaimed solo works with its upcoming slate of two productions, SQUEAMISH starring two-time Tony nominee Alison Fraser (The Secret Garden, First Daughter Suite)  and THE BROBOT JOHNSON EXPERIENCE, written by and starring All For One Artist in Residence Darian Dauchan.
