The five-time Tony Award-winning 'Peter and the Starcatcher' opened last night, December 4, 2013, at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre at the Los Angeles Music Center. Written by Tony Award-nominee Rick Elice ('Jersey Boys,' 'The Addams Family') and directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award-nominee Alex Timbers ('Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson'), 'Peter and the Starcatcher' continues through January 12, 2014. The Wilbury Theatre Group announces the Rhode Island premiere of the Obie award-winning musical, A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant. Written by Kyle Jarrow based on a concept by Alex Timbers, and directed by David Tessier (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) with music by Kerry Callery (Body Awareness), this production of the cult-hit telling of the life L. Ron Hubbard and the founding of Scientology marks the tenth anniversary of the ground-breaking cult-hit's original New York premiere. A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant runs tonight, December 5-22 at The Wilbury Theatre Group, 393 Broad Street, Providence RI.

East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID) and Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corporation (PARC) kick off the holiday's with the annual Tree Lighting Party at the Singing Fountain (Tasker and EPA) tonight, December 5, 2013, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Winter in Westchester heats up with the regional community theatre premiere of the contemporary, Caribbean-flavored musical, Once on This Island. With a book and score penned by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (the Broadway-bound ROCKY, Ragtime), Once on This Island is a highly original and theatrical adaptation of the popular fairy tale The Little Mermaid. In almost non-stop song and dance, the show tells the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of her island. Fun for the whole family!

Casting is complete for the world premiere of Greg Edwards & Andy Sandberg's new comedy, Craving for Travel, which will run Off-Broadway January 9 - February 9, 2014 at the Peter J. Sharp Theater (416 W. 42nd Street, NYC).
