History gets all sexy punk in this alternate universe with parallels to today's political landscape in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, which opened November 8 in the Woodlawn Theatre's Black Box. The show runs through December 1.

BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON is a comedic Punk Rock musical about the founding of the Democratic Party. It redefines Andrew Jackson, America's seventh President, as an Punk Rock star and focuses on populism, the Indian Removal Act, and his relationship with his wife Rachel.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present Drew Gasparini and friends in "From Here & There: The Music & Lyrics of Drew Gasparini" on Friday, December 13th at 11pm. This California native turned New York composer will present songs from all over his catalog… some songs from here… some songs from there. The night will consist of new material from several of Drew's latest projects, fan favorites from his award-winning musicals Crazy, Just Like Me, Make Me Bad, and #UntitledPopMusical, as well as numbers from the TV show SMASH and Drew's recently released album, "I Could Use A Drink." A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, the new Broadway musical will perform live on FOX5's 'Good Day New York' tomorrow morning,November 14 between 9-10am. 'Good Day New York' airs from 9:00-10:00am EST on channel 5. A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN is now playing at the Lyceum Theatre (149 W. 45th Street).

Patrick Wilson has joined the cast of TUMACHO, an intimate one-night performance with songs to benefit five-time Obie-winning theatre company Clubbed Thumb. 2013 Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon directs, written by Obie winner Ethan Lipton. The performances is set for Monday, Dec. 16 at 7:30PM at 13th Street Theater. Wilson joins the previously announced America Ferrera, Christian Borle, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Kristine Nielsen, Richard Kind, and John Ellison Conlee.

MCC THEATER today announced that Steven Boyer, previously announced to reprise his celebrated, Obie Award-winning performance in MCC's upcoming Off-Broadway premiere of Robert Askins' Hand to God, will be joined in that production by Tony Award nominee Marc Kudisch as well asGeneva Carr, Michael Oberholtzer, and Sarah Stiles. Hand to God, which first appeared in New York to great acclaim at the Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST) in 2011, will be directed once again by Moritz von Stuelpnagel and begins at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on February 20, 2014. An official opening night is set for March 10, 2014.

For the 8th year in a row, Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis will present the World Premiere of arguably Indy's most original and entertaining holiday offering: A Very Phoenix Xmas. This year's subtitle is Angels We Have Heard While High. 'I always ask the staff and cast for ideas for the subtitle and we get lots of great ones each year. The Wilbury Theatre Group announces the Rhode Island premiere of the Obie award-winning musical, A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant. Written by Kyle Jarrow based on a concept by Alex Timbers, and directed by David Tessier (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) with music by Kerry Callery (Body Awareness), this production of the cult-hit telling of the life L. Ron Hubbard and the founding of Scientology marks the tenth anniversary of the ground-breaking cult-hit's original New York premiere. A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant runs December 5-22 at The Wilbury Theatre Group, 393 Broad Street, Providence RI.

If/Then, the world premiere musical by the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning creative team behind Next To Normal, Tom Kitt (music),Brian Yorkey (book and lyrics), and Michael Greif (director), begins tonight, November 5, at The National Theatre in Washington, D.C. before heading to Broadway.
