Winter in Westchester heats up with the regional community theatre premiere of the contemporary, Caribbean-flavored musical, Once on This Island. With a book and score penned by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (the Broadway-bound ROCKY, Ragtime), Once on This Island is a highly original and theatrical adaptation of the popular fairy tale The Little Mermaid. In almost non-stop song and dance, the show tells the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of her island. Fun for the whole family!

Joining the cast of "Once On This Island" are many local theater luminaries as well as new faces. Starring Alia Munsch as "Ti Moune", Alejandro Funes (LRT's The Wiz, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and Drood) as "Daniel Beauxhomme", Joy Arzaga as "Mama Euralie", Timothy Chan as "Ton Ton Julien", Markiss Robert (LRT's The Wiz, Bat Boy, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Drood, Sweeney Todd) as "Papa Ge", Ayanna Williams (LRT's The Wiz) as "Asaka", Stephanie Lourenco (LRT's The Wiz, Xanadu, Wild Party, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Bat Boy) as "Erzulie", TorRey Rodriguez as "Agwe", Maria Jacobi as "Andrea", Joshua Judin as "Armand", and Skyhari Higgins as "Little Ti Moune". With John P Schule, Naimah Hakim and Kayla Leacock as "The Storytellers".

The production is directed by Michael Mirra (LRT's Artistic Director and Director of The NY Regional Theater Premiere of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and LRT's acclaimed productions of Bat Boy and The Wiz), musical directed by Shoshana Seid-Green (LRT's Xanadu) and choreographed by Erin Pryor, and executive produced by Fatima Viegas.
