Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre challenges American theaters to diversify the canon with the second year of this powerful resource: an annual curated list of classic plays by women playwrights.

Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre  in partnership with Ma-Yi Theater Company, American Players Theatre, and The Classical Theatre of Harlem is thrilled to announce the curated 2020 EXPAND THE CANON plays. 

Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre is partnering with Ma-Yi Theater Company and The Classical Theatre of Harlem to launch their new initiative, EXPAND THE CANON, an annual curated list of nine classical plays that are timely, producible, and written by a diverse group of women.

Daughters of Troy presented a performance of mostly new theatrical works-in-progress at Dixon Place on November 21st at 7:30pm. Photographer Larissa Nowak captured some fantastic shots of rehearsal for those that missed this one-night performance.

Daughters of Troy announces an expansion of their interdisciplinary project which began earlier this year at an artist residency on Governors Island. The one night performance of mostly new theatrical works-in-progress will take place at Dixon Place on November 21st at 7:30pm.

'Infinitely Yours' is a contemporary drama that explores the hidden cycles of violence in rural Maine. It explores the complexities of domestic violence relationships - it follows main characters Emily and Jason as they run into each other for the first time since a high school romance gone very sour. The play examines the ripples and waves one fateful meeting can have in a person's life.

Dixon Place presents a one-night-only performance of The QVC: A Backstage Pass, an world premiere of four original one acts written by Andrew Dahl, Andrew Hutcheson, Rachael Jenison, and Jonathan Spivey on Monday, September 28th at 7:30 PM on the Main Stage.

Open Bar Theatricals, a new Manhattan-based theatre company, will present a reading of 'Journeymen and Womyn (with a "y"),' by Mike Wirsch, on Monday, July 6th at the Barrow Group Theatre. 'Journeymen…' is the second installment in Open Bar's 2015 First Round Fellowship, a new program for young or established writers/directors/creators and their developmental works.
