In keeping with a decades-long commitment to nurture the new, Weston Playhouse Theatre Company is proud to announce its first annual New Works Festival. An exciting two-week celebration of nationally recognized artists creating new work begins this May 18 on the Company's campus in historic Weston Village.

GOLDSTEIN, the highly anticipated new musical about family, with music and lyrics by Michael Roberts and a book by Charlie Schulman, opens Thursday, April 5th at the Actors Temple Theatre (339 West 47 St -between 8th and 9th Avenues). Featured in the cast are  Megan McGinnis (Daddy Long Legs, Side Show, Little Women), Julie Benko (Fiddler on the Roof), Amie Bermowitz (Ruthless), Zal Owen (Fiddler on the Roof), Sarah Beth Pfeifer (The Lightning Thief, Legally Blonde), Jim Stanek (Fun Home, Gentleman's Guide…) and Aaron Galligan-Stierle (The Phantom of the Opera, Ragtime, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas).

The Grand Theatre is thrilled to announce a first-time collaboration with the American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.), bringing A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS to the Spriet Stage. This acclaimed stage adaptation, based on the award-winning novel by Khaled Hosseini, had its world premiere in San Francisco in July 2016 and became the bestselling production in A.C.T.'s history. The Grand's production will premiere an all new, all Canadian cast with original staging by A.C.T. Artistic Director Carey Perloff. Just announced, the official launch night of the month-long WOMEN AND WAR festival will feature a one-off performance of SEVEN, a documentary play about seven ordinary women who became extraordinary activists, starring Rula Lenska, Miriam Margolyes and Josie Lawrence.

Women and War is a month long festival examining the effect of warfare on women worldwide.
