After spending the last three years creating, producing, and hosting the successful recurring benefit series, Robin's Nest, performer Robin Westle, is thrilled to be re-entering the territory of the solo show with her new creation, The Adventures of Taffy Longvue, a show about finding your own FABULOUSNESS. Taffy is none other than Robin's inner drag persona, and this playful side of Westle thinks it's about time that the closeted Taffy came out into the sunlight and into her own. Taffy has a mission - and it is, of course, fabulosity for all!

Three Act Theatre Company to Bring Three Musicals to the Metropolitan Room

Three Act Theatre returns to the Metropolitan Room featuring 3 new musicals in its Emerging Writers' Cabaret series. This afternoon cabaret features excerpts from Mole Town: An Underground Love Story by Joshua Lattimore and Courtney Christison, Croaker by Jason Marks and Debra Clinton, and Mackenzie and the Missing Boy by Joel B. New. Directed by Eric Mark Olson, Music Directed by Andrew David Sotomayor and Kevin A. Smith, and featuring a cast of Three Act Theatre Company Members, Emerging Writers' Cabaret is an engaging concert event that showcases three original and very uniquely different new musical theatre pieces. Each musical featured in the concert is under consideration for a full production this July as part of TAT's Summer Immersion Program. The new musical selected will be workshopped and presented in production at the end of July 2016. The Emerging Writers' Cabaret is a one performance only event at the Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd St., New York, NY 10010) Sunday, March 20th @ 1pm - doors @ 12:30pm.

Three Act Theatre Stages CHAUNDRIA & THE GIANT This Weekend

Three Act Theatre announces its production of Chaundria & The Giant. This new musical written by Janine Robledo and Micah Joel will get its world premiere workshop production this winter. Directed by Eric Mark Olson, Co-Music Directed by Zachary Orts & Andrew David Sotomayor, Choreographed by Krista Saab, and featuring a talented cast of students & professionals led by Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld* and Adrian Rifat, the musical follows a giant trying to become a doctor and a hypochondriac/agoraphobic princess trying to live a solitary life. The two must wrestle with their inner (and outer) demons that stand in the way of their dreams while helping a medieval town battle the Black Plague. Chaundria & The Giant will have performances at Manhattan Movement & Arts Center (248 West 60th Street) on February 20th and 21st (with performances at 7pm both evenings.)
