MOCK YOUR WORLD Musical to Play 7-Week Run at The Stand, Beg. Today

The spectacularly naughty musical parody MOCK YOUR WORLD is coming to New York's sizzling new bi-level comedy club and restaurant, The Stand. Beginning a seven-week run of hilarity and fun today, April 25th, the show satirizes the absurdity of our daily lives through witty songs and a naughty sense of humor.

Featured in PYMK version 3.0 will be the works of Jeff Blumenkrantz (recipient of the 2012 Fred Ebb Award); Barry Anderson & Mark Petty ("The Songwriter's Union"); and Michael Kooman & Christopher Dimond ("Dani Girl"), along with the works that inspired them. PYMK version 3.0 continues tonight, August 9 at 9:00pm at the Triad Theatre (158 W. 72nd Street) in Manhattan.

Midtown International Theatre Festival Announces Eleventh Annual Season 7/12-8/1

The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) announces the 2010 Season, running from July 12 - August 1, 2010. 24 plays and five musicals have been chosen. All tickets are $18. Selected plays for SHORT SUBJECTS, a division for plays that run under 60 minutes, will be announced at a later date.

Chita Rivera, Robert Petkoff, et al. Set for Sundance Institute Lab

Sundance Institute announced today the acting company participating in its 2011 Theatre Lab held at The Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada from March 27-April 17. The Theatre Lab provides an atmosphere focused on artistic development and collaboration to develop and refine new theatre work with the support of full casts. Building upon the Sundance Institute's history of cultivating international exchange and dialogue, the 2011Theatre Lab projects and participants illustrate and explore the world's most innovative storytelling. A record number 89 artists began their Lab experience on World Theatre Day, bringing works from the United States, Mexico, and Tanzania to the three week workshop. Sundance Institute is grateful for the assistance of the Performing Arts Residency Program at The Banff Centre.

MOCK YOUR WORLD, the spectacularly naughty Broadway musical parody event, returns to the Beechman Theatre on Thursday, November 11 at 9:30 PM. With music and lyrics by Andrew Byrne (with additional lyrics by Mark Blankenship) and directed by Amy Rogers, MOCK YOUR WORLD plays at the Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues, lower level).
