CBS News & Showtime Sports Team Up For 60 MINUTES SPORTS

For the first time, original 60 MINUTES segments will appear on a cable network under a new agreement between 60 MINUTES and SHOWTIME Sports. 60 MINUTES OF SPORTS, a new sports news magazine show from the producers of the iconic news program, will debut in November on SHOWTIME, the CBS-owned premium television network.

During those 20 years, the brand has seen an evolution in the way public figures come out of the closet. From Ellen DeGeneres' Time magazine cover announcing "Yep, I'm gay," to Anderson Cooper's nonchalant email to The Daily Beast saying, "The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be…" the time of the big reveal seems to be fading. For OUT's October 2012 issue, celebrating the brand's 20th Anniversary, cover star Zachary Quinto demonstrates, with his thoughtful and intelligent interview, that the days of talking about closets is mercifully coming to an end.

The actress, who was recently injured while filming a scene for the CBS drama series 'The Good Wife,' joined Coooper on his newly reformatted show which returned today on September 10th. The world's largest solo theatre festival, established in 2010 at Theatre ROW on 42nd Street in Manhattan, has grown to more than twice its original size. One hundred solo productions will be presented between October 11 and November 18, 2012, among them fifteen shows by artists who successfully performed at the United Solo Festival in the past.

BroadwayWorld.com and Broadway Records are co-sponsoring a liner notes essay contest for the new Jekyll & Hyde studio concept recording. Fans will have the opportunity to submit a 250 to 500 word essay for consideration. Five finalists will be chosen by the staff of BroadwayWorld.com in consultation with Broadway Records. Frank Wildhorn, Constantine Maroulis and Broadway Records will select the Grand Prize Winner who will have his or her liner notes essay will be included in the upcoming recording.
