WP Theater (formerly known as Women's Project Theater), under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Managing Director Michael Sag, has announced their 2017-2018 40th Anniversary Season at WP Theater (2162 Broadway, at 76th Street).

Mary J. Davis / MBL Productions will present the World Premiere of Pressing Matters by Jennifer Jasper, directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt. Pressing Matters will begin performances on Saturday, April 15 and celebrate its opening night on Thursday, April 20 running through May 20, 2017 at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street).

AFTER ORLANDO, directed by Wendy C. Goldberg, is an international theater action comprised of more than 70 short plays written in response to the tragic shooting at Pulse Nightclub on June 12, 2016.

Colt Coeur presents the World Premiere of Empathitrax by playwright Ana Nogueira at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, between Spring and Broome) for a strictly limited engagement through Saturday, October 1, 2016. Second Stage Theatre 2016 Uptown Series' production of ENGAGEMENTS officially opens for an extended run tonight, August 4th.

Second Stage Theatre 2016 Uptown Series' production of ENGAGEMENTS has been extended by one week and will now play through Saturday, August 20.

Today the New York premiere of ENGAGEMENTS begins previews at 2econd Stage Theatre. Before tonight, BroadwayWorld caught up with Ana Nogueira, who stars as Lauren.

Second Stage Theatre  will conclude the 2016 Uptown Series with the New York premiere of Lucy Teitler's ENGAGEMENTS, directed by Kimberly Senior. ENGAGEMENTS will feature JENNIFER KIM, OMAR MASKATI, ANA NOGUEIRA, MICHAEL STAHL-DAVID, and BROOKE WEISMAN . ENGAGEMENTS will begin previews on Monday, July 18th and will officially open on Thursday, August 4th.

Ensemble Studio Theatre and EST's Youngblood are proud to present UNFILTERED 2015-2016, the annual festival series of brand new, full-length plays from emerging playwrights under the age of thirty. This year's Youngblood graduates are also the first beneficiaries of the new exit commission grant, donated this year by Tony-nominated playwright Robert Askins.

Before joining the cast of soap opera AS THE WORLD TURNS, which jump-started her TV career, Vanessa starred in regional productions, national tours, and on Broadway in shows like FOOTLOOSE, SPELLING BEE, and HAIR. Along the way, she became friends with Broadway's favorite singing, dancing videographer Andrew Keenan-Bolger, whom we have to thank for a lot of these videos!

The musical web series THE BATTERY'S DOWN, which wrapped up its final season in late 2009, has returned for a reunion special (which aired on Hulu earlier this week) and a Joe's Pub concert, with performances from original cast members (and some very special guests). BroadwayWorld was there for the special night and you can check out highlights from the concert below!
