Ruthless! The Musical is a gem of a satirical comedy about the consuming drive for stardom. Suburban housewife Judy Denmark is dull as dull can be, but her daughter, Tina, is the greatest song-and-dance sensation to ever hit the third grade. She's cute. She dances. She sings. And she would do anything to get the lead role in her school play...ANYTHING! Move over Honey Boo Boo, this outrageous and hysterically funny musical hit garnered rave reviews during its Off-Broadway run in the early 90s, and is ripe for a revival in today's celebrity driven world.

The Tony Award-winning musical lovingly ripped off from the motion picture MONTY PYTHON and the HOLY GRAIL stars John Cauthen (King Arthur), David Sebren (Patsy) and JJ Rodgers (The Lady of the Lake). Cauthen was last seen in Richard III and A Midsummer Night's Dream with the Virginia Shakespeare Festival. JJ Rodgers was last seen on the Kimball Theatre stage as Cindy Lou in The Marvelous Wonderettes. Her previous credits include the world premieres of Ginger and Me and Scream Queens and the regional premiere of Leaving Iowa. Her TV credits include Nashville, Two and a Half Men, The Hank Azaria Show and Third Rock from the Sun.

Dance has long been perceived as an art entertainment for the wealthy, educated and performance trained. Terms such as 'fifth position,' 'adagio,' 'camber,' 'shag,' and 'pirouette' are foreign to most people. Dance styles such as hip hop, Tango, jazz, Samba, and Broadway may be terms that have been heard, but not known as a specific type of dance. This combination has made attending dance programs a 'no go' activity for many.

Verb Ballets' SUMMER SERIES was, with the exception of the opening number, a pleasant, if not compelling evening of dance.

The fast-paced anecdotal collection of vignettes takes a musical romp through the struggles and unexpected joys of being a parent in a completely relatable way, whether you are a parent or not. Mostly set up as, at least, PG-13 humor (never underestimate the comic effect of belting out a long curse word), Rated P surprises with a few tender moments from the women that will touch your heart when you least expect.

'Love. Love changes everything- how you live and how you die.' Those lyrics could not be more profound. It's simple. Love does conquer all. Fourth of July Morgan (Karr) and I laid on blankets, under the stars in the middle of a field after the firework display and spoke of love; how it hurts, how scary it is, how confusing it can be, how amazing it is when you have it, and how hard it is to continue believing in the power of it. One thing we both agreed on is how it can change everything, even the world. Love can make you feel like you're flying. We all want it. We all need it. It is an intrinsic part of our lives. I don't believed I've loved as hard or as strong in my life. Transcendence took me there!
