Producers Barry and Fran Weissler announced today that celebrated talk show host and best-selling author Wendy Williams will now begin her Broadway debut engagement as Matron 'Mama' Morton in the Tony Award-winning musical smash CHICAGO on Friday, June 28.

Wendy Williams is set to make her Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning revival of Chicago, joining the long-running musical in the role of Cook County Jail's 'keeper of the keys'- Matron 'Mama' Morton. Her 7-week run will begin on June 25th and wrap up on August 11. Currently, actress and Sirius/XM radio host Christine Pedi takes on the iconic role where she joins Chicago cast members Amy Spanger as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly,Adam Pascal as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and R.
