'CEREMONIES IN DARK OLD MEN' To Air On Radio 1/13 - 18

Ceremonies in Dark Old Men - The Negro Ensemble Company's production of Ceremonies in Dark Old Men, about a Harlem family that dreams of a better life but pursues it in tragic ways, was one of the most meaningful theatrical events of the late sixties and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in Drama. Ceremonies opened the door for new generation of African American playwrights, August Wilson among them. Emmy Award winner Glynn Turman (The Wire), Tony nominee Rocky Carroll (Navy NCIS) and John Cothran, Jr. (Black Snake Moan) are set to head the cast when L.A. Theatre Works records five performances of Ceremonies in Dark Old Men to air on its nationally-syndicated radio theater series, The Play's The Thing, which broadcasts weekly on public and satellite radio.

Ma-Yi Theater Presents SOUL SAMURAI, Previews Begin 2/14

Ma-Yi Theater Company in association with Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company, will present the world premiere production of 'SOUL SAMURAI,' written by Qui Nguyen and directed by Robert Ross Parker, with fight choreography by Mr. Nguyen, when it begins performances on February 14 at HERE Arts Center(www.here.org), 145 Sixth Avenue (between Spring and Broome Streets, enter on Dominick Street). 'SOUL SAMURAI' will officially open on Thursday, February 19 at 8:30 p.m. This Off Broadway limited engagement will run through Sunday, March 15.

TEN BLOCKS ON THE CAMINO REAL At The Ohio Theater Opens 1/14

Target Margin Theater (David Herskovits, Artistic Director), Off-Broadway's extraordinary, Obie Award-winning theater company, present the New York premiere of the never-before-seen production of Ten Blocks on the Camino Real by Tennessee Williams at The Ohio Theater (66 Wooster Street). Under the direction of David Herskovits, the six-member cast features Purva Bedi, Satya Bhabha, Curt Hostetter, McKenna Kerrigan, Dara Seitzman and Raphael Nash Thompson. This production will offer an extremely rare view of the theatrical process of playwright Tennessee Williams.

NAATCO Presents World Premiere Of LEAH'S TRAIN 2/6-28

The National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO) -- whose revivals of western classics performed by all Asian-American casts since 1989 include such acclaimed productions as BERNARDA ALBA, OTHELLO, A LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT, OUR TOWN, YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU and IVANOV -- will expand its mission to include world premieres about non-Asian peoples performed by an all-Asian cast with the world premiere of LEAH'S TRAIN, Karen Hartman's play about three generations of women from a Jewish family whose lineage spreads from Russia to present-day San Francisco, previewing February 6th prior to opening February 10th Off-Broadway at the TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street) in Manhattan.

Cullum, Hogan, Roberts In The Premiere Of HEROES, Opens 3/8

Keen Company (Artistic Director Carl Forsman, Executive Director Wayne Kelton) is thrilled to present John Cullum, Jonathan Hogan and Tony Roberts in the New York premiere of Heroes, by G?rald Sibleyras with a translation by Tom Stoppard and directed by Carl Forsman. Heroes received the 2006 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy. Performances begin on Tuesday, February 24 and run through April 11 at The Clurman Theatre / Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues. Opening is scheduled for Sunday, March 8.
