Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, has announced that its acclaimed production of Irwin Shaw's Bury the Dead, directed by Joe Calarco, will be taped for the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Theatre on Film and Tape Archive on Friday, November 21th.

Previews will begin today, Friday, November 14 at 8PM for the Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) New York premiere of PRAYER FOR MY ENEMY, a new play by two-time Tony Award nominee, Pulitzer Prize finalist and two-time Obie Award winner Craig Lucas (Small Tragedy at Playwrights Horizons, The Light in the Piazza, Prelude to a Kiss, Reckless, The Dying Gaul).

THE AMORALISTS have announce the world premiere production of AMERISSIAH, a new comedy about America and the thin line between faith and insanity, ambition and corruption written and directed by Derek Ahonen. AMERISSIAH will play a four-week limited engagement at The Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street (Corner of Bond and Lafayette), New York. Performances begin Thursday, November 13 and continue through Sunday, December 7.

The National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO) presents a revival of the Tennessee Williams classic OUT CRY -- a play about theatre, writing, and acting -- with previews set to begin November 29, prior to an official press opening December 4 at Abingdon Theater (312 West 36th Street), starring Mia Katigbak (DOGEATERS) and Eduardo Machado (THE COOK). Philadelphia Theatre Company's 2008/2009 Season continues tonight with the opening of the World Premiere of Terrence McNally's Unusual Acts of Devotion, directed by Leonard Foglia. The play, which began performances on October 22nd, will run through November 23rd, 2008.

Center Theatre Group announced today that one of its new plays has been chosen by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as one of the inaugural selections in the NEA New Play Development Program.

Presented by Shstrng Producions, the 2nd Annual One-Minute Play Festival features 90 plays, 40 actors and nine directors. Each play will be one minute in length.
