Segerstrom Center Announces 2020 Fall Musical Theater Training Classes

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is offering its first Fall Musical Theatre Training Program for young people ages 9-18 years of age. Students of all experience levels are welcome for this 5-class program, where they will be coached in musical theater performance and technique by some of the industry's leading professional artists & educators.

American Ballet Theatre Partners With Chanel to Launch PAS DE DEUX Docuseries

In a new collaboration, American Ballet Theatre partners with CHANEL to launch Pas de Deux, a limited documentary series exploring the intersection of dance and other diverse art forms. The series premieres Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 7:00PM EDT on American Ballet Theatre's YouTube channel and IGTV.

American Ballet Theatre to Offer Online Ballet Classes for Adults

Ballet students of all skill levels, ages 16 and up, can train with experts from the comfort of home. Beginning November 2, American Ballet Theatre will offer weekday ballet technique and body conditioning classes, taught by esteemed faculty and ABT dancers via Zoom.

Born on October 11, 1918 in New York City, Robbins was one of the major forces in 20th century performing arts. He received world renown for his choreography for New York City Ballet, where he spent much of his creative life, as well as for his work with American Ballet Theatre, Ballets: U.S.A., and other dance companies around the world. He received equal acclaim for his work as a director and choreographer of Broadway musicals, plays, movies, and television, winning five Tony Awards and two Academy Awards, as well as numerous other honors including the Handel Medallion of the City of New York (1976), the Kennedy Center Honors (1981), and the National Medal of the Arts (1988).
