Connecticut Ballet, under the artistic direction of Brett Raphael, announced the lineup for its 42nd season including the return of its holiday blockbuster: Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker featuring major guest artists from the New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. After opening with the Connecticut Ballet's first-ever production of the beloved classic at The Bushnell's Belding Theatre in Hartford, The Nutcracker heads to The Palace Theatre in Stamford.

The producers of Art Bath announced their fall season of immersive performance salons, offering an opportunity to see some of New York City's most innovative performing artists. The intimate salons will take place on September 24, November 12, and December 3 at 8:00 p.m. at Manhattan's Blue Building.

Yan Chen, former Soloist with American Ballet Theatre, has been named to the dual positions of Principal Teacher for the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School Pre-Professional Division and Rehearsal Director for ABT Studio Company. The appointments, effective September 6, were announced by Stella Abrera, Acting Artistic Director of the ABT JKO School and Sascha Radetsky, Artistic Director of ABT Studio Company.

On September 18, Ballet Theatre of Maryland will open its season with Ballet in the Garden, an intimate VIP performance in the historic environment of the Hammond Harwood House. October 7-9, the company begins its mainstage performance season with Les Sylphides and Other Works at Maryland Hall.

The Clive & Valerie Barnes Foundation has announced the date for the 12th Annual Clive Barnes Awards. Hosted by New York 1's Frank DiLella, the presentation of the awards recognizing excellence in theater and dance will take place on Sunday, September 18th, 2022 at 3pm at the Westbeth Studio.

The 92nd Street Y, New York will present their highly anticipated free screening of the new documentary PS DANCE! THE NEXT GENERATION followed by a talkback with filmmakers Jody Gottfried Arnhold and esteemed guests on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 5pm at Kaufmann Concert Hall.

Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen and Boston Ballet present My Obsession, a program that explores our obsessions, devotions, and idols, featuring George Balanchine's Apollo and Allegro Brillante, Helen Pickett's 月夜Tsukiyo, and the return of crowd-favorite Stephen Galloway's DEVIL'S/eye. My Obsession runs October 6–16 at the Citizens Bank Opera House.

Placer Repertory Theater has announced the cast for the Ghosts of Placer County mainstage world premiere, which performs the first two weekends of October in Roseville.

Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) announced that Sonja Kostich has been appointed Executive Director of BAC, subject to Board approval. She will assume the role in mid-October 2022. Ms. Kostich succeeds Cora Cahan, who has served as the organization's President and CEO from October 2019.

Superstars of the ballet world are joining the United Ukrainian Ballet’s production of Giselle by Alexei Ratmansky at the London Coliseum this September.  The Company will be joined by American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Principal Dancer Christine Shevchenko, English National Ballet (ENB) First Soloist Katja Khaniukova, Hamburg Ballet Principal Dancer Alexandr Trush and Alina Cojocaru (former principal dancer, The Royal Ballet; former lead principal, English National Ballet).  

The music of Bernstein, Ellington, Foster, Sousa and more will be performed by members of Hoff-Barthelson Music School's faculty and adult jazz students during the School's Celebration of Great American Music – two free outdoor concerts at the Dine the 'Dale Tent in downtown Scarsdale.
