Origin Theatre Company concludes its 15th season of producing the American premieres of plays by emerging European playwrights at its annual spring gala on Monday May 14, at 6:30pm. Hosted by Mutual of America, 320 Park Avenue, the evening features a smorgasbord of international pleasures, including rollicking musical entertainment, and appearances by a colorful cross-section of local and visiting theatre luminaries, business leaders and supporters of the arts.
On Saturday, May 12, from 7 to 10 pm, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will host its seasonal fundraiser, 'A Spring Sing Thing,' a cabaret act featuring vocalists and comedians Lin Snider and Sally Sherwood accompanied by Blake Rowe on keyboard. The performance, a blend of popular musical standards combined with zany comedy, has toured the area for over 20 years in various guises and updates, drawing audiences throughout New York City and Westchester.
Morgan Lariah and Barbara Mueller-Wittmann team up to present the West Coast Premiere of a fresh adaptation of Kassandra, a solo piece performed and produced by Lariah and directed by Mueller-Wittmann. Thousands of people attended the Garden State Film Festival's much-anticipated homecoming in Asbury Park March 22-25, 2018. The spectacular four-day weekend event welcomed over 26,000 celebrities, honorees, film industry execs and movie fans to multiple iconic venues throughout Asbury Park. The Festival included networking opportunities, industry workshops, informative panel discussions, open talent casting call, live screenplay reading, star-studded red carpet gala and entertaining parties - all in addition to the screenings of 246 films from 22 countries around the world. The weekend culminated with the 2018 Garden State Film Festival Awards Gala Dinner event on Sunday evening, where this year's honorees were recognized and Festival winners were announced.

Villanova Theatre presents a staged reading of The Behavior of Light, written and directed by Broadway playwright and Hollywood screenwriter, Douglas Carter Beane. Austin Shakespeare will transform the Beverly S. Sheffield Zilker Hillside Theater into the world of a classic '50s sitcom for their Free Shakespeare in the Park production of The Merry Wives of Windsor. Produced in collaboration with the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department for the 34th year, Shakespeare's famous comedy will be performed under the stars from May 3 - May 27 on Thursdays - Sundays at 8 pm, with a preview performance on Wednesday, May 2. Asbury Park, New Jersey, February 28, 2018 - The 16th Annual Garden State Film Festival (GSFF) will kick off this year's screenings of over 245 fabulous films from 22 countries with the feature 'The Wanderers: Quest of the Demon Hunter' on Friday evening, March 23rd at 8:30 p.m. at the iconic Paramount Theater in Asbury Park. Directed by Dragos Buliga, the film stars esteemed actor Armand Assante who will be in attendance, along with fan favorite, New Jersey's Xander Berkeley of 'The Walking Dead.'
