New Victoria Theatre and pantomime producers Qdos Entertainment have today announced that an all-new socially distanced pantomime production of Robin Hood will now be staged at the venue from Friday 18 December 2020 – Sunday 10 January 2021, thanks to support from The National Lottery.

An anti-racism conference for the UK's theatre and dance sectors is taking place in November 2020, presented by Inc Arts UK in partnership with Society of London Theatre (SOLT) & UK Theatre. When the lockdown started in mid March, theatres all over the country were forced to shut down in a hurry. Nina Dunn, video designer with credits spread all over the West End and Europe, has been documenting the struggle of the industry through chilling photographs of empty theatres where silence dominates. A fundraiser has accompanied her online photo essays, which are now being turned into a book whose proceeds will go straight to charity. We had a chat to discuss her project, the effects of the closures, and dark theatres.
