Beginning Monday, June 4th at 10am, single tickets for Riverside Theatre's exciting 2018-2019 Season will go on sale. Building on the incredible success of last season's productions with sold out performances of Gypsy, Million Dollar Quartet and Mamma Mia, Riverside is proud to present another ambitious season of music, comedy, and drama.

2017 and 2018 have been stellar years for Gold Coast singer/songwriter Amy Shark and the celebrations are far from over after it was announced today that she has taken out the top prize in the 2018 Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition with 'Adore'.

Season 18 at New Village Arts is a celebration of the diversity of our community.  With six mainstage productions, NVA has created an eclectic season of adventurous artistic experiences. For the third season in a row, NVA has parity between its male and female playwrights and has continued its commitment to open casting. We believe that representation on stage is incredibly important, and strive to make our casts as diverse as possible.  Teatro Pueblo Nuevo will continue for its second year, and the season includes two San Diego Premieres, one West Coast Premiere, and one World Premiere adaptation. There is something for everyone in this season, and we can't wait to share it with you!

Riverside Theatre, led by Producing Artistic Director/CEO Allen D. Cornell and Managing Director/COO Jon R. Moses, is delighted to announce its 45th Anniversary Season for 2018-2019. Building on the success and support the theatre has attained over the last few years, Riverside is proud to present a magnificent season of music, comedy, and drama.

The verdict is in. 'Legally Blonde, The Musical,' presented by Dream Theatre Productions at Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) is a hit! Directed and choreographed by Bernard J. Solomon with musical direction by David Maglione, the show features an excellent, multi-talented cast. It will be performed on UCPAC's Main Stage through Sunday, January 27.

A special holiday musical gift has arrived at Theatre in the Park's (TTIP) INDOOR with the delightful tale of THE HAPPY ELF. This festive musical, composed by Grammy Winner and American Idol judge Harry Connick, opens Dec. 8 and continues through Dec. 24 at the new Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center (AHC) in Overland Park. TTIP INDOOR productions are held in the Black Box Theatre at the AHC at 7:30 p.m.; matinee performances are at 2 p.m. THE HAPPY ELF is rated G and is appropriate for the entire family.

The Moonlight Cultural Foundation and the Moonlight Youth Theatre announced today the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of Legally Blonde the Musical. This fabulously fun musical includes music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach. Legally Blonde features direction and choreography by Evan D'Angeles, music direction by JD Dumas, and associate choreography by Chelsea Nicole Lapp. Performances run October 13 through October 21 at the Moonlight Amphitheatre in Vista.

EastEnders' Rita Simon, Lucie Jones, who represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest with 'Never Give Up On You', and Bill Ward, star of Coronation Street and Emmerdale star in a major new tour of the smash-hit Broadway and West End musical Legally Blonde The Musical. It's a big weekend in Nashville, maybe the biggest ever, thanks to the perfect storm of events and celebrations all across the region. It's CMA Music Festival weekend, Bonnaroo is pulsating some miles down the road (taking most of the attendees through Music City on their way to Manchester) and the Nashville Predators take on a team from Pittsburgh in the Stanley Cup Final's sixth game on Sunday night at Bridgestone Arena.

Legally Blonde, The Musical takes you from the sorority houses of UCLA to the halls of justice via Harvard with one of Broadway's brightest heroines and her Chihuahua sidekick, Bruiser, played by Oscar Burgess. Amanda Brown's novel by the same name was adapted in 2001 for the film starring award winning actress, Reese Witherspoon. Soon after Heather Bach created the Broadway version with songs composed by Lawrence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin. The plot follows the story of the popular and beautiful sorority girl Elle Woods who is determined to win back her ex-boyfriend, Warner by enrolling into Harvard University. With a chip on her shoulder and the support of some new friends, Elle is determined to show Harvard that she's a blonde with smarts, wit, and plenty of fashion sense.

Last night Saturday Night Live tossed in a sketch that stepped away from politics and played into the joke of stage fright and adolescence. A group of middle school theatre kids are super excited to take on the small town premiere of LEGALLY BLONDE, and their production ends up being so memorable. Check out the video below!
