Ensemble for the Romantic Century Postpones Off-Broadway Premiere of AKHMATOVA

Ensemble for the Romantic Century today announced the postponement of the Off-Broadway premiere of its acclaimed production Akhmatova: The Heart Is Not Made of Stone by Eve Wolf. Performances were scheduled to begin April 24th for a limited engagement through May 29th at The Duke on 42nd Street.

The Mizner Park Cultural Center will play host to an eclectic selection of theatrical, musical, and event entertainment in November.  From the Off-Broadway hit Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus to the Icons: The Art of Celebrity Illusion, and the sparkling comedy of Michael Walters as Dame Edna in Something Like A Dame to the sexy and seductive Thunder From Down Under, the popular Boca Raton venue can definitely boast they are providing 'something for everyone' this month.

KAZU Announces Visual Album 'Adult Baby'

Today, KAZU shares the 2nd single from forthcoming solo LP Adult Baby, 'Meo.' The result of collaboration with Blonde Redhead bandmate Amadeo Pace, 'Meo' also features synths and piano from Ryuichi Sakamoto, percussion from Deerhoof's Greg Saunier, and flute from Robbie Lee. Minimal instrumentation swells into a climax  facilitated by Art Orchestra of Budapest that runs parallel to the lyrical content of the song, confirming KAZU as a full-spectrum artist who is unafraid to use music to reveal her innermost feelings. In addition to the trailer and single, KAZU has shared a release date of September 13th and  the album cover art plus tracklist which can be found below. Adult Baby will be released via KAZU's own Adult Baby Records with distribution from !K7. 

BMI Continues It's Support Of The Acclaimed Sundance Institute Film Music and Sound Design Lab

Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), is proud to continue its support of the Sundance Institute Film Music and Sound Design Lab for more than two decades. The Lab returns to the Skywalker Sound legendary facilities for the seventh year from July 9-22. This year's international group of fellows include Ho-Ling Tan, Jorge Aragon, Brito Gene Back, Ghiya Rushidat, Aska Matsuyami, Ozie Cargile, Sara Broshofske and Emily Rice, who represent a variety of countries from Cuba, Hong Kong, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the UK and the U.S.A.

Actor Amadeo Fusca puts an original spin on the famous off-Broadway one-man show Men an Are From Mars. Women Are From Venus LIVE! at the Straz Center on March 28-31. Part theatre, part stand-up and based on the best-selling book by John Gray, Amadeo covers the stages of a relationship in a series of vignettes intermixed with real-life anecdotes and male and female characterizations.
