After more than two weeks of broadcasting from across the pond in London for the Summer Games, NBC's TODAY returns to the States with an Olympic-sized week. The brightest Olympic stars who captured America's hearts will celebrate with a special homecoming on TODAY. Each day next week, Olympic athletes will serve as a special contributors on the program.

Gold medal-winning gymnast Gabby Douglas publicly revealed her love of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES after she received a congratulatory Twitter shout out from the show's executive producer, Julie Plec. The cast of the CW's horror series is returning the love by filming a video in which they offer their congratulations on her gold medal achievement at the Summer Olympic games. Team USA gold medal gymnast Aly Raisman competes for gold medals in balance beam and floor exercise Tuesday night on NBC. Among the contenders in balance beam is all-around and fellow team gold medalist Gabby Douglas. In floor exercise Raisman competes against 2011 world all-around champion and team gold medal gymnast Jordyn Wieber.
