This week ArtsBridge announced the nominees for the 10th Anniversary Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards. 38 public and private schools from throughout the state were nominated in 17 categories. When I attended the Broadway incarnation of In the Heights, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Accordingly, when they announced their current season, I had the upmost confidence that the showing at the gorgeous The John W. Engeman Theatre was going to be just as stellar. Being the Engeman Theatre, I was proven right. The wonderful production runs through April 29th at the Northport venue masterfully directed by Paul Stancato.
Shakespeare Theatre Company today announces the cast of Lerner and Loewe's multiple Tony Award-winning musical Camelot. Directed by STC Associate Artistic Director Alan Paul (Kiss Me, Kate; Man of La Mancha), the classic musical will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F St NW) from May 22 through July 1, concluding STC's 2017-2018 mainstage season.
