Last night, January 18th, 2016, Theatre Now New York presented its 3nd Annual festival of new musicals, Sound Bites 3.0 (sponsored by Music Theatre International and Disney Theatrical Productions) to a sold-out house at the 47th Street Theatre. An after-party, sponsored by MTI, was held after at Hurley's Saloon where awards were given. Sound Bites showcases ten 10-minute musicals or musical excerpts in one evening. MCC Theater presents the New York premiere of John Pollono's LOST GIRLS. The production is directed by Jo Bonney who last collaborated with playwright John Pollono on MCC's critically acclaimed production of Small Engine Repair. LOST GIRLS opens tonight, November 9. It is scheduled through November 29, 2015.

MCC Theater presents the New York premiere of John Pollono's LOST GIRLS. Golden Globe nominated star of stage and screen, Piper Perabo-who recently completed five seasons of the USA's popular drama series 'Covert Affairs' for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination, and was last seen onstage in the Broadway and MCC Theater productions of Neil LaBute's Reasons to be Pretty-stars alongside Ebon Moss-Bachrach (HBO's 'Girls'), Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal), Tasha Lawrence (Good People, The Whale), and newcomers Lizzy DeClement and Josh Green.

Kathryn Kates Replaces Lynn Cohen in LETTERS TO SALA at TBG Theatre

The stage and television actress Kathryn Kates will play the title role in 'Letters to Sala,' Arlene Hutton's stirring drama about a New York woman's hidden Holocaust past. Lynn Cohen was previously announced to portray Sala Garncarz, who kept her story of survival from seven Nazi labor camps hidden from her family for nearly 50 years.

Lynn Cohen to Lead LETTERS TO SALA at TBG Theatre

Lynn Cohen ("Sex in the City" and "The Hunger Games") has been cast in the title role of "Letters to Sala," Arlene Hutton's stirring drama about a New York family coming to grips with the sudden disclosure of its matriarch's hidden Holocaust past.  Co-produced by The Journey Company and F.A.B. Women@TBG, "Letters to Sala" will have its New York premiere at the TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, in a three-week engagement from October 3 to 18.  Directed by Eric Nightengale, "Letters to Sala" will also feature Alice Jankell and Laura Kamin who represent the family's second and third generation survivors.

URBAN MOMFARE Extends Run in 2014 FringeNYC Encore Series, 9/21-28

Urban Momfare has been selected to extend its run at the FringeNYC Encore Series after a critically acclaimed run at the 2014 New York International Fringe Festival in August. Book by Pamela Weiler Grayson and Alice Jankell, music and lyrics by Pamela Weiler Grayson, directed by Alice Jankell and musical direction by Clare Cooper. Urban Momfare is being produced by Emerging Artists Theatre Company (EAT). A workshop performance of the musical was previously presented at EAT's New Work Series in March of 2013.
