Young Vic Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah has announced the Programme for 2020.

Desperately struggling to hold their family together, sisters Becky and Anna fight for survival. Stuck in a rut, they befriend a wandering stranger who aimlessly navigates the land. Together, the three strike up an unlikely friendship in their bid to remain alive. Time moves slowly in this part of the world, and this makes the trio reflect intensely on every moment that passes.

Alex Austin, Rochenda Sandall, Alec Secareanu, Alan Williams and Ria Zmitrowicz have been cast in Gundog, written by Simon Longman and directed by Royal Court Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone. Gundog runs in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs Wednesday 31 January 2018 Saturday 10 March 2018 with press performances on Tuesday 6 February and Wednesday 7 February. The review embargo will be lifted Wednesday 7 February 11.59pm.

Chloe Lamford and Sam Pritchard have collaborated on a piece that perplexes and entices. The Arcola Theatre today announced its Winter Season, with new plays by David Greig, Ron Hutchinson, Christina Lamb, Belarus Free Theatre, Christine Bacon, Sergio Blanco and Henry Naylor.

Phoebe Eclair-Powell began training as an actress at the Drama Centre London, but soon switched over to playwriting. She's worked with the National Youth Theatre on their Epic Stages programme, and her debut play WINK premiered at Theatre503 last year. Next up is FURY, shortlisted for the Verity Bargate Award and winner of the 2015 Soho Theatre Young Writer's Award. This modern Medea centres on a young, single mum in a Peckham council flat and opens at Soho Theatre next week, directed by Hannah Hauer-King.

Sunday May 8th marks the return of Interval Productions' MADE IN LDN season, which launched at The Cockpit last month. On the second Sunday of every month, Interval Productions' Creative Director Tori Allen-Martin will present an evening of brand new British Musical Theatre writing supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

·         In 2016 the Royal Court Theatre celebrates its 60th birthday by looking towards the future. The new season includes six world premieres, five UK and worldwide collaborations, one European premiere, a major collaboration with LIFT, a partnership with Picturehouse Cinemas, the return of Open Court and ongoing work in Tottenham and Pimlico.

The Skriker is commissioned and produced by Manchester International Festival and the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. Maxine Peake will play the eponymous role and Juma Sharkah and Laura Elsworthy will play Lily and Josie respectively in The Skriker at Manchester International Festival.
