A New And Better You is an surreal, funny and universally familiar story of someone who transforms themselves into something entirely new with the help of self-motivation, social media and an 8 year old fitness instructor. It follows The Yard's most recent in-house productions the sell-out extended runs of Buggy Baby and This Beautiful Future.

Writer Joe Harbot has been longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize, is a graduate of the Royal Court Writers' Programme and has had work performed at the Royal Court, Young Vic, Soho Theatre and Southwark Playhouse. Director Cheryl Gallacher is a longstanding Artistic Associate at The Yard, and has created work at the National Theatre and Almeida with extensive experience of devising work with adults and young people. Both Cheryl and Joe have worked with the Yardlings, The Yard's young theatre makers age 7-11, and A New And Better You marks the first Yard show involving children in the cast.
