Falls & Bockley's 2666 Extends Before World Premiere at Goodman Theatre

Robert Falls' and Seth Bockley's world premiere adaptation of Roberto Bolaño's famed novel, 2666-which has received extraordinary audience enthusiasm during previews and officially opens tomorrow, February 16-has been extended. Four additional performances include March 17, 18 and 19 at 6:30pm and March 20 at 1pm. The 15-member all-Chicago ensemble cast remains unchanged during the added performances.

An epic global portrait of the modern world and the artist's role within it, 2666 by the late Chilean author/poet Roberto Bolaño appears in a world premiere stage adaptation at Goodman Theatre, by its Tony Award-winning Artistic Director Robert Falls and Playwright-in-Residence Seth Bockley.

MCC Extends THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE

MCC THEATER announced today the extension-by popular demand-of its hit comedy, Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride, now playing at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street).  The play, which officially opened on September 9th, will now play through October 11th.  It was previously scheduled through October 4th.  For more information on MCC Theater, please visit www.mcctheater.org.

OSF's A WRINKLE IN TIME Opens 4/20

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) will open its sixth production of the 2014 season in the Angus Bowmer Theatre at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 20. A Wrinkle in Time, based on the book by Madeleine L'Engle and adapted and directed by Tracy Young, will run through November 1.

The Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival's 2014 preview performances begin tonight, February 14, and the season will open Friday night, February 21 in the Angus Bowmer Theatre with Shakespeare's The Tempest (director, Tony Taccone). (Note: The reading of 2666 will last approximately five hours, including three intermissions).
