James Gandolfini, who is most known for starring in the HBO hit 'The Sopranos', died yesterday in Italy, according to multiple sources. He was 51. The cause is rumored to be a heart attack but no details have been confirmed. The actor was in Italy for the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, where he was set to join director Gabriele Muccino for a festival event. Below, we bring you a shot of this morning's headlines.

Directed by Daniel Spector, an authority on Shakespearean text, Othello will be presented by The Kinetic Theater Ensemble, a burgeoning new troop of talented young actors, this June at the Access Theater (380 Broadway). Preview performances will begin today, June 20 and the production will celebrate its opening on June 23, running through June 30.

The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) is pleased to announce that 62 finalists selected from tens of thousands of students will compete for the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress, scholarships and other honors at an event on Broadway to be hosted by the Tony Award-nominated stars of Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, Laura Osnes (Cinderella) and Santino Fontana (the Prince). The fifth annual performance showcase featuring dynamic ensemble and solo performances exclusively from the musical theater cannon will take place on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre (200 W. 45th St).

Prospect Theater Company will offer a $20 ticket lottery for their upcoming Off-Broadway production of UNLOCK'D. Performances began June 16, 2013 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. Producers have also announced that a post-performance talkback with Carner and Gregor will be held following tonight's June 19 performance.

The July broadcasts of The New York Philharmonic This Week - the weekly radio series of concerts and recordings by the New York Philharmonic, hosted by Alec Baldwin - begin with a Summertime Classics program from July 2012 titled 'A New York Fourth,' conducted by Bramwell Tovey. The Hellcats and Jazz Knights from the West Point Band, conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Jim Keene, perform 'American Heritage' and 1940s Big Band Swing selections, including Oliver's 'Well, Git It,' Ward's 'America the Beautiful,' and Miller's 'In the Mood.' They also join the New York Philharmonic in Sousa's The Liberty Bell March and The Stars and Stripes Forever March, as well as Philip Egner's The Official West Point March. Soprano Tracy Dahl sings works by Bernstein and Gershwin on the first half of the broadcast.

YALE REPERTORY THEATRE (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) has announced that Rene Augesen will play Blanche DuBois and Joe Manganiello will play Stanley Kowalski in its first-ever production of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, the Pulitzer Prize winning masterpiece by Tennessee Williams. Directed by Mark Rucker, the production, which will open Yale Rep's 2013-14 season, will play September 20-October 12, at the University Theatre (222 York Street).

Broadway veteran Melissa Errico announced early last month that she would be undergoing a surgery to repair a blood vessel on her vocal chord. In April, Errico had to depart the Classic Stage Company production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Passion to go on vocal rest. The singer has started a blog to document her experiences and continues now with her fourth post.

The Stella Adler Studio of Acting presented their Eighth Annual Stella by Starlight Benefit Gala last night at Espace in New York City. This year's honorees included acting luminaries Elaine Stritch and George Takei, Broadway idol Stephen Sondheim and real estate mogul Charles S. Cohen. The gala featured a special live performance from Ms. Stritch's friend Bernadette Peters and red carpet appearances by Alec Baldwin, Liza Minnelli and James Gandolfini.
