Pepperdine Fine Arts Division Presents THE TAMING OF THE SHREW

Pepperdine University's Fine Arts Division will present The Taming of the Shrew on Wednesday, April 3 through Friday, April 5, 2019 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Malibu campus' Smothers Theatre.

John Leguizamo, Danny DeVito Join Cast of HARRY HAFT

 Danny DeVito, Vicky Krieps, Peter Sarsgaard, Saro Emirze, Dar Zuzovsky and John Leguizamo have joined the cast of Director Barry Levinson's HARRY HAFT, which BRON Studios and New Mandate Films are producing in association with Creative Wealth Media. The film began production February 25 on location in Hungary and New York.

Award Winning Songwriter Scott Alan returns to Birdland tonight, February 25. The 7pm performance features Tony Award Nominee Saycon Sengbloh (Eclipsed), Telly Leung (Aladdin), Olivier Award Winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda The Musical), Alex Hairston (Beautiful), David Burtka (Gypsy), Joshua Colley (Newsies), Matt Bloyd (NBC's The Four) and Recording Artist Morgan Reilly.

Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part I (1597), now being revived by the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, is at its heart a family story. It certainly bears the traditional characteristics of Shakespeare's history plays, but it is, first and foremost, a story of two fathers and two sons, and only secondarily about dynastic struggles.

Robbie Rozelle Returns To Feinstein's/54 Below In SONGS FROM INSIDE MY LOCKER

Feinstein's/54 Below presents the return of Robbie Rozelle in Songs From Inside My Locker on Saturday, February 23 and Friday, March 1 at 9:30 pm. After creating shows for Jessica Vosk, Melissa Errico, Kate Baldwin and Nikka Graff Lanzarone, writer/director Robbie Rozelle turns the tables on himself with two performances of his debut solo show to be preserved as part of Broadway Records' Live at Feinstein's/54 Below series. Songs From Inside My Locker is written by Robbie Rozelle and features musical direction and arrangements by Josh D. Smith, with a six-piece band known collectively as 'The Two Drink Minimum.' Special guests include Bonnie Milligan (Head Over Heels) and Maya Days (Aida).

Scott Alan premieres his new musical The Distance You Have Come in the intimate The Cockpit. Presented as a cycle of songs and with little-to-no dialogue, it sees a group of six people dealing with various degrees of desperation and challenges. A struggling actress (Emma Hutton), a broken lesbian couple (Alexia Khedime and Jodie Jacobs), an alcoholic (Dean John-Wilson) all grapple with the lingering uncertainty of life while the audience gets to see Andy Coxton and Adrian Hansel meet and fall in love.
