'SUN RA' Series Continues 1/9 at Joe's Pub with SUNOLOGY

Tony Winner Priscilla Lopez Performs at Luna Stage's 20th Anniversary Gala Tonight

Tony and Obie Award winning performer Priscilla Lopez will perform at the company's 20th Anniversary celebration tonight, June 6th. Lopez, who originated the role of 'Diana' in A Chorus Line, performed a one-woman show entitled Class Mothers '68 by Eric H. Weinberger at Luna Stage in 1999 at the company's first space in Montclair.

Luna Stage will celebrate 20 years of producing provocative and challenging works for the stage by honoring founder and artistic director Jane Mandel with a celebration on Thursday, June 6th, 2013 at the Club at Orange Lawn in South Orange.

Van Hughes, Ryan Link Lead SON OF A GUN, Beginning 11/1 at Theatre Row

American Idiot's Van Hughes and Hair's Ryan Link will star in Son of a Gun, a contemporary folk rock musical previously developed with the O'Neill Theater Center, Joe's Pub and The Drama League. Performances begin November 1, 2012 at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row. Gabriel Barre (Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, john & jen) directs.

Harlem Stage Adds HOLDING IT DOWN and SLEEP SONG to 30th Anniversary Season

Beginning and concluding its 30th anniversary fall season with works that continue the institution's immersion in issues of national and global import, Harlem Stage will present the premieres of Holding It Down: The Veterans' Dreams Project (September 19-22) and Sleep Song (November 30-December 1).

STAGE TUBE: Yale Rep's THE PIANO LESSON

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in Drama, August Wilson's The Piano Lesson returns to Yale Rep, where it had its world premiere in 1987. The Piano Lesson was one of six plays in August Wilson's 10-play cycle chronicling the African American experience in the 20th century to premiere at Yale Rep. Wilson's other Yale Rep world premieres included Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (1984), Fences (1985), Joe Turner's Come and Gone (1986), Two Trains Running (1990), and Radio Golf (2005).
