Adepero Oduye Boards THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL Cast as 'Thelma'

ADEPERO ODUYE will assume the role of Thelma in the critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, on Tuesday, July 16th. Oduye is best known for her acclaimed breakout role in Dee Ree's Sundance film, Pariah, and for her performance opposite Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard and Phylicia Rashad in the Lifetime Television movie, Steel Magnolias. Condola Rashad, who also co-starred with Oduye in Steel Magnolias, played her final performance as Thelma on Sunday, July 14.

WHITNEY's Tone Bell Set for Comix At Foxwoods, Now thru 7/13

Voted one of the funniest comics in Texas, comedian Tone Bell will showcase his hilarious routine at New England comedy hotspot, Comix At Foxwoods. Bell, who also played 'RJ' on NBC's Whitney, will perform his first three performances nightly at 8 p.m. from tonight, July 11 through July 13. Fans are welcomed to catch a 'Nasty Show with Tone Bell' during his final outrageous performance on July 13 at 10:30 p.m.

THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL Extends Through October 9 at Stephen Sondheim Theatre

The critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, has been extended again, adding five weeks to its already extended engagement, and will now play through Wednesday, October 9, giving audiences just a few more chances to see the legendaryCICELY TYSON's in her Tony Award-winning performance of a lifetime.

GEORGE GERSHWIN ALONE Extends at Berkeley Rep Through July 7

As its highly acclaimed production of Sarah Ruhl's Dear Elizabeth continues to captivate audiences, and theatregoers queue up in record numbers for its upcoming production of No Man's Land, Berkeley Repertory Theatre announces today additional performances of its latest show, George Gershwin Alone.Originally scheduled to close June 23, the Bay Area debut of Hershey Felder's international hit is now extended for an additional two weeks, through July 7.
