BWW Review: GREASE Plays it Cool at The Academy Playhouse

Right on the heels of A Chorus Line's final performance last weekend, Grease continues a wonderful summer season at the Playhouse by bringing youthful energy and pizazz to a show that is on almost everyone's list of favorite musicals. This production brings together a rather large cast whose energy and eagerness to present what they have all been working so hard on is evident in the characters they play in the midst of all the hullaballoo and teenage angst that Grease already is.

In its 19th season, the Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) will present Tchaikovsky's magical ballet, 'The Nutcracker' featuring professional live orchestra, guest artists and young dancers from more than 17 local communities for two performances only on Saturday, December12 at 7:30 pm, and on Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium at the Horace Mann Middle School, 224 Oak Street, Franklin.

Franklin Performing Arts Co. Presents THE WHATEVER THEATER FESTIVAL 7/29 - 8/1

The Franklin Performing Arts Company is pleased to announce that the 2nd annual 'Whatever Theater Festival' is planned for Wednesday, July 29th through Saturday, August 1st. The first production of the Whatever Theater Festival is a medley of one-act plays which will presented at Franklin School for the Performing Arts , 38 Main Street, Franklin, on Wednesday evening, July 29th at 8:00 PM. This wonderful collection of short plays range from silly and strange to mysterious and thought provoking. Tickets for these performances can be purchased at the door and are $10 per adult and $5 per student.

Shakespeare Returns To The Franklin Town Common With FPAC's MACBETH 7/29-30

The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) is pleased to announce the return of 'Shakespeare on the Common' for two performances during FPAC'S 'Whatever Theater Festival'. On Thursday, July 29 and Friday July 30, at 8:00 PM (weather permitting) the public is invited at attend a free presentation of MacBeth, Shakespeare's tragedy about the lust for power and its bloody repercussions which will feature Artistic Director, Nick Paone in the title role.
