The Old Globe's Annual Meeting was held on Monday, February 2 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center

It's getting colder outside, but warming up inside Bowne's Lab on Friday and Saturday nights. The current show Out of Bounds will be joined on weekends with another show, Life's A Beach on Friday nights. Performances will be held every Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm. Showcasing the various educational programs FST has to offer, parents and potential students will get an inside look at the Florida Studio Theatre School between 10am and 12pm. The plays are here! Florida Studio Theatre's 2013 Young Playwrights Festival has begun. Over 3,000 plays were received from young playwrights all over Florida and across the globe. FST is has announced the winning plays of the UNDER SIX and SEVEN UP programs.

After a laughter-filled hit winter season, FST Improv returns for a special spring fling run of "April Fools." This hilarious series will feature a no fools barred smack down, culminating in the crowning of the "fool of fools." The comedy begins on Saturday, April 13th for a limited engagement continuing Fridays and Saturdays April 19, 20, 26 and 27 at 8:30 pm in the new John C. Court Cabaret.

Deep in the heart of Israel, a city perched on the Mediterranean receives immigrants of all kinds, from Africa to Eurasia. The diversity within the city is immense but assimilating immigrant refugees into the greater culture of Israel presents many challenges. Recently the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee and FST joined forces to bring a very special program to the children of Kiryat Yam. 'We are all in this together, for the children' was the running theme of the WRITE A PLAY trip to Kiryat Yam, Israel last month.

Due to a successful opening, the FST Improv troupe will continue to bring on the laughter with two additional performances on Friday, February 8 and Friday, February 15 at 8:30pm. The Improv troupe creates characters and sketches on the spot. Not even the performers know what to expect - until it happens. Sarasota's original antidepressant performances will take place in the Goldstein Cabaret on Saturday nights at 8:30pm through February 2, with the added performances on Friday, February 8 and Friday, February 15 at 8:30pm.
