The new Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is getting in the holiday spirit by celebrating the first night of Chanukah with four major events this Sunday, December 6. From DOROT on Upper East Side to Macy's and Hebro in Midtown to The Museum of Eldridge Street on Manhattan's historic Lower East Side, the city will be covered with FIDDLER cast appearances and performances to celebrate the Jewish Festival of Lights.

To life! The Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF begins performances tonight, November 20, 2015, with an official opening slated for Sunday, December 20 at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway). 

Producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, and Jam Theatricals are thrilled to announce the opening of the box office for the upcoming Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roofon Friday, October 9 at 10:00 AM with a special offer. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the original Fiddler's “Best Musical” Tony Award, seats will be available for $50. These seats for select winter performances must be purchased in person at the box office.

As we previously reported, Roger Rees, the legendary, Tony Award-winning actor, and Tony Award nominated director, passed away last night at his home in New York City, after a brief journey with cancer. His husband,Rick Elice, and family and friends were at his side.

On Wednesday, October 30th, the blockbuster musical, WICKED, will celebrate its 10th Anniversary on Broadway, a milestone achieved by only ten other Broadway productions in history. The creative team and many of the musical's previous cast members will celebrate WICKED's first decade with a special performance, followed by a company party, on October 30th at 7:00pm. BroadwayWorld will be counting down to the milestone with daily flashbacks of Wicked's biggest events, most memorable cast members, and best performances. Emmy Award-winner Carol Kane will return to the Broadway production of Wicked as Madame Morrible, starting performances tonight, July 1, 2013. Ms. Kane has previously performed the role on Broadway, in Los Angeles, and on tour.

Fresh off the national tour of Wicked, Michael Wartella will assume the role of Boq in WICKED on Broadway, beginning performances today, June 25.

Last night, June 18, WICKED's current cast members, including Lindsay Mendez (Elphaba) and Derek Klena (Fiyero) gathered at the Gershwin theatre to commemorate the show's the 4,000th performance. BroadwayWorld was there for the special celebration and you can check out full photo coverage below!

Lindsay Mendez and Derek Klena recently joined the cast of Wicked, assuming the roles of Elphaba and Fiyero. They join a cast which includes Katie Rose Clarke as Glinda, Randy Danson as Madame Morrible, Adam Grupper as The Wizard, Catherine Charlebois as Nessarose, F. Michael Haynie as Boq, and John Schiappa as Dr. Dillamond. Check out a first look at the duo in action below!

Beginning performances today, May 28, 2013, Lindsay Mendez will assume the role of Elphaba in the Broadway production of WICKED. Ms. Mendez has previously worked with both the composer and director of WICKED, having appeared in the 2011 Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell, and, more recently, giving a breakout performance in the world premiere musical, Dogfight, staged by WICKED director Joe Mantello.
