Winner of six Tony Awards in 2010, including Best Play, Red goes inside the studio of famed Abstract-Expressionist artist Mark Rothko at the height of his career in 1958. Rothko has just landed the biggest commission in the history of modern art at the time, but is struggling with his young, idealistic assistant, Ken, and his own inner demons. Ken's answers to the initial question result in more thought-provoking and probing questions, shedding light on the meaning of art, integrity and commercialism.
