BIO

"I am drawn to Rivky by her raw talent. What I love about her as an artist is the strength in her vulnerability- absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to hear more from her!” -Grammy-winning, Amy Lee, Evanescence

About:
Rivky met Cellist and friend, Brian Sanders Off-Broadway, composing and releasing an album-EP, Angel Sings The Blues. "Hear Me Mr. Honey" was produced by Grammy-winning Amy Lee, Evanescence. A prodigy writer-pianist-painter-vocalist-banterer, Rivky has shared her quirky off-beat styles on stages featuring Suzanne Vega, The Kennedy Center, Signature Theater and NYC's hot spots like Birdland Jazz, Rockwood. Recently Rivky's songs and acting skills have been selected for a new musical with Aussie Playwright, Jack Feldstein. This Summer she was awarded the New York Musical Theater's composers of 2019. Rivky is a soulfully cabaretish, beautifully hard to pin down, Jaques Brelian/Kurt Weill/Freddie Mercury/Nina Simone nostalgia, held by the seat of her funny pants, living with a form of schizophrenia, slapping stigma silly whilst singing folky, sometimes theatrical compositions. Rivky grew up living Orthodox Jewish, in the Hasidic "Amish" like culture but left it.

Rivky, also a painter, has sold to well known collectors, like Karl Hagberg, Sheila and James Gray, former president of Macy's. Her essays, poetry and artwork have been published in Harvard's literary magazine, ROAR, The Mighty, among others.
