Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Jared Saltiel can often be found working behind the scenes, channeling his talents as a string arranger, producer, and composer for the stage. A manic multi-instrumentalist in the vein of Jon Brion, his original music taps into his gifts for orchestration and atmospherics, receiving comparisons to chamber pop icons Rufus Wainwright and Sufjan Stevens.

Co-produced by Anastasio and Vance Powell and remixed by Powell, the 18-track, 145-minute new anthology collects varied acoustic and electric highlights from the event, spanning solo material, Trey Anastasio Band favorites, and unique versions of classic songs from the Phish catalog. At Birdland Jazz Club, catch the Legendary Count Basie Orchestra, under the direction of Scotty Barhart and special guest vocalist Carmen Bradford; Karrin Allyson as she pays tribute to Mose Allison; and the Hot Sardines, among others!

On Monday, September 16, 2019, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation announced the 2019 recipients at the annual Off-Off-Broadway IT Awards. For the past 15 years, the It Awards have celebrated the vibrant and creative indie theatre community under the dedicated leadership of Executive Directors Shay Gines and Nick Micozzi who are stepping down and at the ceremony introduced new leadership for the organization: Cat Parker, Artistic Director of Articulate Theatre Company; Ariel Estrada, Producing Artistic Director of Leviathan Lab Projects; and Jazmyn Arroyo, Co-Founding Artistic Director of Step 1 Theatre Project will join Akia Squiteri, Artistic Director of Rising Sun Performance Company as Directors of the organization.

The It Awards have celebrated the vibrant and creative theatre community for the past 15 years.  The official announcement took place at (Le) Poisson Rouge by six celebrated artists and producers from the community including: Jazmyn Arroyo, Jennifer Betite Yen, Iyvon Edebiri, Chris Ignacio, Ashley Rogers, and Erez Ziv.

Join Fulcrum Arts on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 as it hosts its annual benefit event. This year, the nonprofit will honor experimental composer William Basinski and LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory). Fulcrum Arts Annual Benefit will support its mission to advance the fields of art and science and to support artists to make work on a civic scale, develop new modes of thinking - and even new raw materials - at the forefront of the intersection of the fields. Treasured contributors to the Fulcrum Arts community, both LIGO and William Basinski have collaborated with Fulcrum Arts through performances, exhibitions, and residencies, and each demonstrates bold experimentation and achievement at the forefront of culture and science. The event will take place from 6:00 to 9:00pm on November 7th at Carnegie Observatories campus in Pasadena (813 Santa Barbara St., Pasadena, CA 91101). The benefit will also feature a world premiere performance by Basinski and fellow ambient composer Lawrence English. Iron and Wine makes its Nonesuch Records debut with Ghost on Ghostavailable now. Ghost on Ghost is the fifth release from singer-songwriterSam Beam, using the pen name Iron and Wine. The album was produced by Beam's longtime associate Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Califone, Fruit Bats) and follows 2011's Kiss Each Other Clean, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard chart to critical acclaim. The new album has received early praise, with NPR Music calling Beam “a songwriter versatile enough to pack huge ideas into simple arrangements and vice versa.”
